The room was extremely beautiful, the furniture were magnificent and the design was superb. The double bed was very comfortable and large and the curtains were quite thick so noone could see you from the exterior. There was a beautiful little table in order to eat and relax and the bathroom had all the amenities and it was nice of them that they changed the towels every day. Hot water was never an issue and it was plenty of course, and the room was cleaned every day and being tidied. The room was exactly as shown in Booked.net photos and even better perhaps. Even though we asked for a room with a view and they didn't deliver, they compensated us with a luxury suite instead of a one-bedroom suite. Water and tea were provided for free from the owners. The owner was extremely nice and friendly and gave us a preview of the city in the first day of our trip, and every day he was asking if everything was alright. The main employee of the hotel that handled our luggage and served breakfast was extremely nice and helpful, too. The owner of the hotel didn't even charge us for a couple of short international calls, even though we asked to pay and we insisted on it even though it isn't a standard policy. In the end he gave us a mini gift from the hotel and he told us goodbye the night before because he couldn't see us the next day since we had an early flight. The room was hot amidst a cold Istanbul and although the room didn't have a thermostat it was OK if you opened a window- although the extremely helpful owner I'm 100% sure would fix it if we just had asked. The breakfast was OK with fresh ingredients. The room was very quite and just pleasant to sleep without any nuisance from the street or other visitors. The location is very nice, and maybe the first impression of the neighborhood might not be that good, it's a very safe area to stay, just 5 minutes from the tram station and 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque, too- around 10 from Hagia Sophia.
We were really satisfied with this hotel. The room and location of the hotel was amazing. Staff was extremely helpful and it seemed to be a bit overemployed place.
The breakfast could be more variable.
I have just back home after a fantastic time at Muyan Suites. It was a lovely place. The room was very large, clean and well decorated. The staffs at the Hotel were very friendly. Breakfast was also fantastic. I don’t know how to describe this Hotel as well as I want to. The Hotel is also located just the centre of the old city and 5 minutes walking distance to all major sites. The clerk at the desk was very helpful all the time. They gave me all the useful information about city which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
The very very helpfull stff. They are marvelous.
The Hospitality of the staff was unblievable. I travel alot.I Have not seen people like them. Location is great for exploring the old city. 10Minute form the tram station and five min from the blue mosque and attractions.
Clean rooms and helpful staff. My tea that was made to me by Muharam.
Good placed/exleent staff
Muyan Suites is a wonderful boutique hotel located very centrally in the Old City of Istanbul...its very close to all the oil city attractions like Blue Mosque, Haga Sophia, Grand Bazaar etc...its also walking distace from the tram line which would take you to the new city etc. But what makes this place speacial are the people there... duty manager Aslam & Farouk are wonderful and helpful people they give you all the right information on where to eat and what to do...overall its a wonderful place to stay in the old city.
Location is great, quiet area and close to everything. It's a cosy, boutique hotel, rooms are very nice and the stuff is great. We've really enjoyed our stay!
very unique hotel rooms, excellent services, close to the center part of old Istanbul. very good experience to stay.
Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with suggestions to make our visit to Istanbul more complete. Good location for walking to Topkani Palace, Sophia, Blue mosque, park, plaza, restarants. Great weekend!
Very little to say when it comes to liking this hotel. May be interior of the room was good and staff behavior was ok. Could have been better value for money if the room night charges were half of what they actually charged.
Extremely overrated in terms of Review score. Pathetic lobby. Smallest and most dreadful lift I have seen in my life and the lift was shut down on the day of our arrival and we were asked to use staircase for the 5- storey hotel. Very difficult to find location even if you are coming by taxi. No taxi driver knows where this hotel is, and every time you have to argue with taxi driver in a language that you do not understand, about the location of the hotel. At this price, I stayed in a five star accommodation near Taksim square, and that facility was thousand times better.
We enjoyed our stay at the Muyan Suites. Aslan and staff are exceptional in all respects. The location is exceptional for a city visit. It is a wonderful b&B.
loved the room, nice eggs for breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. good location only five to ten minutes to most of the big tourist stuff
Location of hotel was excellent. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very well decorated and larger than I expected. Briefly, it was very smart hotel. Highly recommended...
The location was good-- close, but not too close, to the main square in Sultanahmet. The room was large. The service, as I think most people have said-- was very good. Everyone was very nice and helpful, very kind and not at all pushy which made the overall experience pleasant. Still, make no mistake this is definitely a sort of boutique b&b, not a hotel. I really appreciated that there was a refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was really varied and very excellent. There was a lot of really positive things about Muyan, and I do not regret staying there at all. That having been said, I am not sure we would stay there again on a return trip to Istanbul-- maybe we would because service goes a long way...but I think you can get a lot more for this price point in Istanbul.
Our room was nice and quiet (which is very good)-- but it overlooked a vacant lot/building which was being used as a trash heap-- obviously no view to speak of, not a huge deal-- but it gives you a bit of an idea about the immediate neighborhood. The shower (and I had thought there would be also be bathtub, based on the room descriptions-- maybe some of them do have tubs?) leaked a bit-- the floor outside the shower next to the toilet was slightly wet on our first night, before we had ever washed up-- and was pretty much wet every time we showered. Also-- I do wish there had been more information about the room itself-- such as the airconditioner -- which blessedly the room has- though we spent at least one quite uncomfortable night before we figured it out. Also-- information about the minibar would have been useful. We knew the bottled water was complementary-- but what of everything else? I think a little bit of literature would go a long way.
